The events of the past several months have been remarkable in so many ways for all of us. An unprecedented Presidential race, a turbulent and volatile stock market and a new President elect! Clearly, these events have had an effect on many of us to varying degrees but despite it, homes continue to be bought and sold in our area every single day. In fact, I have sold 3 homes in the past 2 weeks which will all close in November and listed 4 new properties for sale. People are still buying and selling homes for all the same reasons they always have. Is it more difficult to obtain credit than was previously the case? Absolutely, but credit is most definitely available and I'm happy to refer you to several credible credit sources if need be. A great mortgage broker, like a great real estate broker, can make or break a deal for you! To suggest that the real estate market has dried up because of the credit crunch would be grossly misleading. For those of you who do not require financing, this is an especially good time for you to buy. Sellers are far more likely to accept an offer which does not have a financing contingency than one which does. What a great opportunity! I'm on track to have my best year ever and have my wonderful clients to thank for that. I'm currently working on several new listings that will come on the market in the next few weeks which I'm very excited about. November looks to be another busy month for which I am most appreciative.
